Vision
Communities across Egypt where every person has a real chance to overcome what holds them back, to access education, knowledge, health and work, and to take a full part in the life of their community, with resources used responsibly and sustainably.
Mission
We work to remove or reduce the barriers that limit the opportunities of individuals, families and communities in Egypt, and to build their capabilities through education and training, health support and awareness, disability inclusion, economic opportunity, and community and family support. We do this in partnership with local communities and partner organizations, with the aim of achieving lasting change.
Our Values
Dignity. We treat every person we work with as the decision-maker in their own life, not as a recipient of aid. We respect their privacy and choices, and we offer support in a way that preserves their self-respect.
Inclusion. We work so that people with disabilities and those with fewer opportunities have a full place in education, work and community life. When designing any activity, we take care to make it accessible to all, without discrimination.
Integrity & Accountability. We use resources with integrity, describe our work accurately, and do not claim what we have not achieved. We hold ourselves accountable to the community, our partners and the relevant authorities.
Community Partnership. Communities know their own needs best. So we work with people, not only for them, and we build cooperation with local organizations, volunteers and partners.
Sustainable Impact. We favor solutions that leave a lasting capability after our involvement ends, and we use resources responsibly. One question guides everything we do: what will remain once our work is done?
